Grading Policy

The student will complete all assigned work as listed in the class syllabus. This will include weekly reading and directed studies exercises. All weekly assignments are to be completed and submitted to the instructor via email by 11:59 p.m. of the following Friday. The student will also complete and submit a research paper (details below). All deadlines will be strictly adhered to. Late submissions will be graded down one full grade. Therefore, the highest grade possible on late submissions is a "B". The research paper must be in the instructors email box by the last week of the semester. No late submissions will be accepted on the term paper. Grades are weighted as follows:

Grading Criteria:

    1. Weekly Reading 30%
    2. Responses to the Instructor 30% (Police Academy Cadets will also complete directed studies)
    3. Research Paper 40%
