The 9th Edition of Essentials of Oceanography (Pearson Education © 2008) is co-authored by Al Trujillo and Hal Thurman. The text features a suite of 38 geoscience animations (including five specifically designed for this edition), which are state-of-the-art computer animations that have been created by Al Trujillo and a panel of geoscience educators to help students visualize some of the most challenging oceanographic concepts. Other improvements are detailed in What's New in the 9th Edition, including specific chapter-by-chapter changes. The text also features an Online Study Guide written by Al Trujillo (for a student access code, see the "Your Access to Success" card inside the front cover of each textbook).

Instructors: Considering adopting this textbook for your course? See the letter from the author for more information. The text features an online Instructor Resource Center (IRC) with a variety of instructor resources. For a free instructor review copy of the text, contact your Pearson Education sales rep

The two authors have also published Introductory Oceanography, 10th Edition (Pearson Education © 2004) with additional material and enhanced content throughout its 18 chapters.
