Tentative Itinerary

Wednesday Jan 3:  Depart San Diego, Arrive in Belize City.  

Thursday, Jan 4:  Visit Mayan site of

Xunantunich and vicinity. 

Afternoon: Hike Panti Medicine Trail

where native plants are researched and

developed for medicinal purposes.

                                                Friday, Jan 5:  Visit Mountain Pine Ridge,

                                                Rio Frio Cave and trail, Rio On Pools

                                                and nature trail.  Afternoon: Visit the World Famous Belize Zoo.

Saturday, Jan 6:  Hike to the Che Chem Ha cave formation

with Mayan artifacts in tact.  Afternoon: Visit the town of San Ignacio.

Sunday, Jan 7:  Take a boat ride down the New River and take

a jungle walk to the Mayan ruins of Lamanai.

Afternoon: Fly Maya Air to Ambergris Caye.

Monday, Jan 8: Ambergris Caye, snorkel Tres Cocos

and surrounding reef, lunch aboard the Goliath (see photo insert).

Evening: student presentations.

Tuesday, Jan 9:  .Snorkel Mexico Rocks and surrounding reef.

Evening: night beach seine   Evening: student presentations.

Wednesday, Jan 10:  Visit Caye Caulker and snorkel. Evening: student presentations.

Thursday, Jan 11:  Free Day to explore San Pedro or to choose an activity of your own choosing.

Friday, Jan 12: Full day snorkeling, Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. 

Evening: student presentations.

Saturday, Jan 13: Full day snorkeling a mangrove and Coral Gardens. 

Evening:  take a night snorkel on the reef.

Sunday, Jan 14: Full day snorkeling, Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. 

Monday, Jan 15: Return to San Diego
