RE: feedback on workshop ideas [HAPP-L]

Paul, I think both workshops would be excellent!  I, too, have been involved in designing a new science building and will soon be involved in helping to design a new health sciences building on our campus.  It would be nice to compare notes with you.  Thanks,

Subject: feedback on workshop ideas [HAPP-L]

Fellow HAPSters,

I would like some feedback on two new workshop ideas I have for the annual conference in Philadelphia.

1) Tips on Building a New Science Building or Renovating an Old One.

I served on a building committee for many years and I would like to share what I learned. A PowerPoint presentation would be used to present some of the typical "DO's" and "DON'Ts". Emphasis would be placed on A & P lab design and cadaver lab design.

2) Cadaver Workshops.

I would use a PowerPoint presentation to show how you can create non-credit, fee-based workshops for medical professionals in your local community. They will be interested for their own professional development. I have already worked with ER nurses, Speech Therapists, OTs and others. It is an excellent way to generate new revenue for your college while also serving your community.

Do you think folks would be interested in either of these workshops? Feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.
