Hi Hapsters,

    I have my concerns about sending a personal
message to the list,but I hope it can be forgiven. I
have accepted my college offer of an early retirement
incentive and will retire as a professor here at
Imperial Valley College effective 12/31/03 after
nearly 37 years of teaching biology ,
anatomy/physiology, and microbiology. The list serve
will find a new address for sure and will not be
interrupted except for a few hrs, so this resource
will continue and I will read it everyday as do most
of you.
    Effectively, I can't teach in California under
the State Teachers Retirement System and be retired,
but I can teach in private or out of state
institutions. So if any one knows of a needed
sabbatical replacement or "emergency" instructor at
normal pay rates ( not adjunct or hourly, but tenure
track is not necessary) please let me know in case I
opt to continue teaching somewhere. I would prefer
Oregon, Wash., or western region to be close to
family. Administrative jobs also would be considered,
but I love teaching much more.  Hey Oregon HAPSters, I
would love to teach on western half if you know of
anything. I can pretend I'm not from California :)
