Re: Genetics question [HAPP-L]

I believe some females produce antibodies that are particularly hostile to
sperm carrying a y chromosome.

Subject: Genetics question [HAPP-L]

Hapsters --

A friend of mine -- a PhD psychologist -- presented me with the
following question. I told her I wasn't quite sure of the answer but
that I would ask some folks who might know.

Thanks!!

A question relating this issue to genetics:
I have observed that there are families which tend to major in offspring
of one or the other sex, producing *either* girls *or* boys, where sibs
tend to have the same sex children as one another to a greater extent
than one would expect on a purely random basis.
Excluding known genetic disorders which would lead to miscarriages, is
this scientifically supported and if so, has any explanation been
advanced? What if one includes such genetic flaws?
