[HAPS-L] Open Position



Colleagues:

 

St Louis College of Pharmacy is currently looking for a “Dean of Arts, Sciences, and Student Affairs”.

 

St. Louis College of Pharmacy is a private independent college established in 1864. Students enroll as traditional freshmen and complete the entire 6-year curriculum within the College. The College currently has a total enrollment of almost 1100 with about 450 in the first two years (for which the Dean of Arts, Sciences, and Student Affairs will be responsible) and 650 in the four professional years. This position reports to the president of the College and serves as a member of the president’s staff along with the Vice Presidents for Enrollment Services, Information Technology, Finance, Administration, Advancement and Human Resources. The position is available July 1, 2006

 

This individual will be responsible for overseeing the first two years (Pre-Professional) of a six-year Doctor of Pharmacy program as well as acting as the Vice-President of Student Affairs. The committee is looking for the following:

 

  • Candidates should possess a terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., D.A., etc.) and have credentials that qualify for a tenured faculty appointment in either the Liberal Arts or Sciences.
  • Experience in the area of Student Life.
  • Administrative experience (Dept. Head, Chair, Assistant Dean, etc.)
  • An individual that understands the value of a liberal education, and yet is able to successfully coordinate with the professional program Dean and Faculty.
  • Small school/Community college experience is seen as a plus, but not a requirement.
