Parents! What a help or what a problem they can be!!! I agree that at
college-age a student should not have a parent intervene except in unusual
circumstances.
As the parent of a student who took AnP as a high schooler (for dual
credit -- 1987), I object. Some can and some can't. The problem is the
school. Can the HS give a fair an adequate statement?
Oh, yeah. My daughter's AnP teacher for the entire two semester course --
lab and lecture -- was ME. She did not get special help. I told her I
would give her exactly the same help I would give any student who called me
on the phone. She did not get all A's. She got what she earned. And she
LEARNED.
