The more problematic model is having high school teachers teach A&P in the high school to high school students only. The problems typically come with how this model is implemented relative to high school teacher qualifications to teach A&P, student readiness to take college-level A&P, and sufficient communication between and among the high school teachers/administration and the college department/faculty/administration to ensure the integrity of the college credit. As you might guess, the implementation of this model is highly variable, especially from state to state, and often depends on the level of political pressure at all levels.
The proposed position statement would, if I can construct it properly, address all these issues and make suggestions regarding what we as an organization feel is optimal with regard to student learning and academic integrity.
If I can get spring classes off to a good start and get my dental woes resolved, I will try to get to doing the draft soon. It really should not take me too long. I can draft policy-speak with the best of them!

I may be confused but the original message is about teaching A&P in the HS, by the HS, for college credit, no?”Is there a HAPS position on dual enrollment (high school students enrolledin college classes)? High schools in our area would like to teach A&P at the high schools and award those high school students college credit for taking A&P. “
