Re: [HAPS-L] Scantron or Pearson test form scanner with computer interface...
Hi, Chris--We use a system from NCS Pearson. The scanner is an OPSCAN 3
and the software is called Exam System 2. It is capable of scanning a
fairly good-sized stack of computer answer sheets (I'm guessing about
75-100 may be loaded at a time). The software will compute item
analysis with discrimination index and difficulty factor, and is capable
of converting data to a comma or tab delimited file (I know what these
are--I use the tab delimited) and a fixed record format (don't know what
that one is) for export.

Does any member have a Scantron, Pearson or other test results form
scanner
that has a direct computer interface allowing hundreds of forms to be
scanned relatively quickly and put into an ASCII (or other) file type?
The
HAPS testing committee would be very interested in talking to you.
