Re: [HAPS-L] Give me your tired, your weak, your poor.....your best thoughts.

Most of my students at LTC were displaced homemakers, newly unemployed due
to factory closings, young single mothers, Hmong or other southeast Asians,
etc. Does that help?

PCT provides excellent service to those with disabilities and we have
more minority students here than any of the surrounding schools. Almost
everyone that takes our A&P classes here at PCT lives near the poverty
line--some of my students pay their tuition partly on their fur-trapping
money. Furthermore, we are in one of the most rural areas in the Eastern
US (more bears in our county than any other in the NE, supposedly) so we
provide help to an isolated region. HAPS benefits these folks since Drs.
McKeon and Sherman as well as myself are active members. I have multiple
disabilities and I certainly benefit from HAPS. Is that what you need?

How can we best say to the National Science Foundation that

HAPS "BROADENS PARTICIPATION BY UNDERREPRESENTED GROUPS"

examples are gender, ethnicity, disability, geographic location.

Give it your best shot! Please!
