There are buses to/from Newark Airport. There used to be good train service through metropolitan NJ and NYC. Forget cars: you could spend your whole life waiting on the George Washington...

I've often thought that the Jersey side would make a much better
venue than NYC (aka Manhattan). Newark Airport would be easier to
navigate than LaGuardia or JFK. Does anyone know what taxis cost
from the airport to NYC, not to mention the cost of lodging in NYC?

Seriously, folks, it's NOT cheap.
Judy, if you're really still interested in generating interest in hosting a
HAPS conference in NYC, get some price quotes before getting the
rest of the HAPSters all riled up. As I've mentioned to you at
previous conferences, cost is going to be a major concern. If I'm
wrong on this, I'll volunteer to assist you.
