RE: [HAPS-L] Cardiac output demos
We bought 4 of Joe’s “heart’s” that show cardiac output wonderfully! However, it depends on your definition of the word expensive. I didn’t think that they were expensive, but not sure of your budget.

Joe Griswold gave a good workshop on this at a HAPS meeting a few years ago.

Turning our attention away from neuromuscular junctions for a second, could anyone suggest a good demo of cardiac output or stroke volume using inexpensive lab materials or a source of some such material.
And Ken, regarding a comment you made some days ago about a posting of yours: I would be shocked if you made substantial grammatical errors in your textbooks (which you don't -- and it is a very well written book) but couldn't really care less about a syntatical (?) or other grammatical error (case in point!) in your email postings. I, and I think most other participants on this listserve, read it for the INFORMATION, realizing that this is done often in a rush, perhaps between classes/labs, (kind of like the way I get to eat lunch) and without the aid of an editor et al.. I was completely blown away for example, by the responses I got to my question about the effects of the ANS and hormones on vascular smooth muscle (the mechanism involved in vasodilation). What amazed me was the willingness of any number of people to take the time to put forth their explanations and the depth/scope/breath of their knowledge of the subject matter. I was truly impressed and am glad that
I have such a cadre of support out there even if I don't know any of you individually. I didn't then, but wish to thank all of those who did respond to that post.
