[HAPS-L] Mass Bay nursing program frozen

Reportedly there are several issues facing Massachusetts Bay Community College (in Wellesley, MA) right now and they seem to be impacting the RN program. One of these concerns is that the provost,  Steve Berrien, allegedly changed a student’s grade but the provost claims he only allowed a re-test and did not tamper with the grade. Apparently some faculty feel that there have been other grade changes in order to keep the number of nursing students up. Whatever the truth, the Board of Registration in Nursing (a part of the Mass. Dept. of Public Health) has taken the various matters seriously and has ordered the college to stop accepting new applications to the RN program.
