After a fun summer teaching gross anatomy, it dawned on me the
number of muscles that seem to be appearing less and less in cadavers. I know
of 5 muscles, all starting with the letter P, that are some of the most common
(or should I say least common) muscles to be missing in a cadaver. However, I
got to thinking….. (bad thing for the end of summer) 1) Why
are these muscles disappearing… I know evolution… by why? 2) Are
