Hello all, This is not the most pleasant subject, but it always seems that my students don't take maternal mortality during childbirth very seriously, maybe they regard it as a historical thing? or only relevant in the third world? Or maybe most of them are too young to think about childbirth relating to them.... it is hard to tell. Anyway, I saw this news article in a local paper, and since I noticed it was an AP wire article, I went and found it on the internet. This particular link loaded faster than a couple of others I tried. I feel that this article does bring it home,. Plus the increasing mortality rates in the US are rather disturbing.
