[SPAM-URL-DBL] Re: {Disarmed} RE: [HAPS-L] another shot fired in the evolution wars
Dr. Kenneth Miller
who wrote Finding Darwin's God is speaking at our institution in
March. He is sponsored by different divisions including mine and
humanities. I am looking forward to his talk as well as the reaction of
folks here in Indiana. We do not garner the same publicity as Kansas on
this topic but many of my students have strong feelings about evolution
as being in direct opposition to their beliefs and do not want any form
of enlightenment or debate.
I'd like to know if any have heard Dr. Miller(biology department at
Brown) speak or want to comment on his book.
Sandy
An excellent choice. I haven't heard him speak, and it would take
more time than I have free right now to refresh my memory of his book
enough to comment on it. However, one advantage of Miller as a speaker,
beside his credentials as a biologist and textbook author, is that he is
also a professing Christian (Catholic) who can attest quite eloquently to
the harmony he finds between evolution and faith.
