HAPS members, Yesterday
one of my A & P II students said that his job requires/offers flu shots. He asked
me if I knew why they would not give them to those with tattoos on their
shoulders (I am assuming deltoid region). If both shoulders were done,
they did not get a flu shot. I asked
him why they wouldn’t give the shot in another body part, and he did not
know. Does
anyone have an explanation about the correlation of tattoos and flu
shots? I would appreciate an explanation. Thanks, Marilyn
