I'm not interpreting it as a deliberate setup. I think the person
who invited me is skeptical of ID too, and just thought, if belatedly, that it
might be more interesting (and draw a bigger audience) if the event were set up
in this point-counterpoint format rather than as a solo lecture. Being aware of
the DI's Wedge Strategy, I saw it in a different light and didn't find it conscionable
to play into the DI's hands by engaging them in a stage debate.
