Re: [HAPS-L] Corrected Countercurrent Multiplier
Also, the official site has a lot of background and explanatory
material about the science. As well as links to other informative
sites.

Note also in 1973 Lorenz, von Frisch, and Tinbergen--not the first
or last time that ethologists have been recognized under this

Subject: [HAPS-L] Corrected Countercurrent Multiplier
To all,
Please forgive the errors in the previous message. Somehow it was
sent inadvertently and before I could proof it. My intended
version follows:
I was just looking through a series of papers by Wirz, Hargitay and
Kuhn on the countercurrent multiplier. To the best of my knowledge
it was these authors that proposed the mechanism. Does anyone know
if these authors were ever nominated for a Nobel Prize? Every
Physiology text worth its salt goes into some explanation of the
countercurrent multiplier and it occurred to me that they should be
recognized for their accomplishments.
