Re: [HAPS-L] A special course on Contributions of Well-known scientists (biologists, physiologists, etc)
Hi Rema,
I don't have a syllabus, but I can tell you I just got a lot of results by typing "History Science Syllabus" in Google!
I can give you some good reference material:
The Oxford Companion to the History of Modern Science (Hardcover) by John L. Heilbron (Editor). It is available on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Oxford-Companion-History-Modern-Science/dp/0195112296
Science and Its Times: Understanding the Social Significance of Scientific Discovery: 1950-Present(Science and Its Times) (Hardcover)
by Neil Schlager and Josh Lauer (Editors)
This is Volume 7 of an excellent series.....other volumes in this series may also be useful
American Women in Science 1950 to the Present: A Biographical Dictionary by Martha J. Bailey (Author)

Fellow HAPSters,
I think this has been a dialogue on this listserv before, so if anyone
can direct me to some information or a sample outline/syllabus for a
course (special topics course, perhaps) covering the important
contributions of well-known scientists, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Rema
