I was born and raised in San Diego. You can get really good deals in mission valley on a room and a car. They want tourism so you can get rooms reasonable.

A little last minute, I am looking into attending the HAPS conference this
spring if I can jiggle some teaching committments. I am looking for a room
for Saturday night (26th) through Wednesday night (30th; checkout
Thursday). Booking a room myself is looking a little steep, so I was
wondering if anyone has a room booked and needs a roommate for all or a
part of the conference. I am really friendly and I don't think I snore!

Alternatively, does anyone know of a reasonable place to book, besides,
say, the hostel in Gas Lamp (I really hope those days are over!).

Just fishing to see if attending this year will be feasible.
