Welcome to Career Search on the Web, a three part class designed to assist you with making career and academic decisions. Generally students enroll in this class because they are:

  • trying to decide on a college major and a career field.
  • thinking about changing into a different line of work.
  • returning to college after being out of the work and academic world for awhile.

I'd like to know what motivated you to enroll in this class!

I'll ask you to email me that information as part of your first writing assignment (coming up soon).

In this class you will receive a personal web page detailing your test results along with my comments and suggestions.

Here is an example from a previous student.

Favorite Creature

Butterflies! They are such a strong symbol of life, freedom, change, beauty, and appeal to so many people for their fragility. The world, and all of our lives seem to be in a constant state of change, and the butterflies are a symbol of the positive side to life's challenges and changes.

Personal interests

I am an outdoor enthusiast.. I love the ocean and water sports especially kayaking and paddlesurfing and downhill and cross country skiing. My husband (Dan) owns a kayak store, Carlsbad Paddle Sports, and I often help out with his paddles and classes.

Traveling to tropical places, nurturing a beautiful garden, and spending quality time with loved ones are my other enjoyments.
