Overview

At this point, you should have completed Part A and B and the Career Research Assignment in the Palomar College Career Center. It is important that you have your assessment results and research assignment in hand before starting Part C.

In Part C you will compare your career research with your assessment results using an exercise called,"How the Occupation Fits" and rate the occupation for future consideration.

Part C includes sections on informational interviewing, career decision making and the counseling services available to you at Palomar College. The course concludes with a simple goal setting exercise and a course evaluation.

Part C Objectives

• Compare your skills, values and career motivators, personality type and the career you researched.
• Identify counseling resources for career decision making and academic planning.
• Learn how to set up and conduct an informational interview.
• Complete an action plan using the Mind Map exercise and a course evaluation.
