My Friends

Friends We get by with a little help....

Katherine_friends.jpg (39717 bytes) These women have been my friends for almost twenty years. We met at work when we all were guides at Frary House in Historic Deerfield, Massachusetts.   Occasionally, we are still able to get together there.  Here Evie and Ruth are in the parlor at the Deerfield Inn in Historic Deerfield.
Here I am with my friend and former boss, Mary, enjoying a light breakfast in Northampton, Massachusetts. We worked for a number of years together at the William Allen Neilson Library at Smith College there. Katherine_friend2.jpg (24628 bytes)

This is the Foxy Diner in San Francisco. My friend, Marcia and I have just completed a convertible ride. Marcia and I have known each other since 1966. We met at a resort where we both worked as waitresses ( Jug End in the Berkshires)in South Egremont, Massachusetts and were often mistaken for sisters. Although Marcia has a sister, Kathy, I am not she. Marcia and I  later went to school together at UMass. marp.jpg (50775 bytes)

Here I am at Historic Deerfield again. Pictured with me are Lynda (center) and Rita(at right). Rita is an anthropologist who was involved in a dig at the time the photo was shot. We almost lost the volunteer photographer in the trench! rita.jpg (39996 bytes)
