Academic courses can only be repeated twice to alleviate a failing grade that was given in a previous semester (like a D, F, FW or NC grade). The student will not be allowed to register in the same course for fourth attempt unless:
a period of 3 years has passed or
a petition for extenuating circumstances is made through the director of enrollment services.
