Professor of Economics. Economics, History, and Political Science Department.
I was born and raised in Chicago. I moved to California in high school. I have worked in a CPA firm, owned a bookstore, and taught at the college level since 1969. I taught for two years for Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland. In the early 1970s, I was a Lecturer for three years at United States International University (Point Loma). In the later 1970s, I was a Lecturer at San Diego State University and at Chapman College. I taught on an adjunct basis at Southwestern College, San Diego City College, and Grossmont College. I have been at Palomar College since 1980.
I teach Basic Economics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, and Comparative Economic Systems
I teach using collaborative learning methods. I have created a Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Basic Economics textbook using collaborative learning activities and many different case studies.
I am involved in gardening, outdoor activities, and issues relating to the environment. I have a strong interest in political activities. My wife and I live in the mountains with our two dogs, three cats, three horses, fish, and a bunch of wild turkeys.
