provide learning activities
designed to enable the student to understand the significance of the British,
French, Dutch, Spanish and other European military conflicts for control of
North America
including : the impact on Indian tribes; militarily, economically,
politically and religiously.

V. Objectives : After completing this
module, the student will be able to :
A. Examine North American Imperial
Wars :
1. Delineate the 4 major
conflicts for control of North America (1689-
1763) including the
participants and results.
2.
Delineate the role played by Indians in these conflicts.
3. Cite ate least two
British leaders and two Indian leaders during
the French and Indian War.
4. Define the British exterminationist policy and cite an example of
its use of biological warfare
during these years.
5. Delineate the role
played by Pontiac in these events.
B. Analyze the Expanding French
Trade and International Rivalries,
1615-1763 :
1. Delineate the French
fur trading system during this period.
2. Identify the
French-Natchez conflict.
3. Identify Red Jacket.
C. Examine
English Colonial Expansion
1. Delineate the
participants in the Pequot War and the
outcome.

the Wampanoag.
