Welcome to the Fall 2008 Semester.

Monday, August 25th - Welcome to my course. This
is my favorite way of communicating with the whole
class at once. I look forward to seeing each of you at
the required orientation. It's a fact that 90% or more
of the students who do not complete the course did
not attend my orientation. I will be offline from Tues.
through Thursday but back on Friday evening for
emails. See you Saturday, the 6th at orientation.

Let's go over the procedures for the post-
assessments. They are located in the documents
folder at Blackboard at PConline (the link is at the
bottom of this page). The first time you log in you
must use your 9digit Palomar ID# both as the user
name and password. Then proceed to the documents
folder and you may take the post-assessment online.
You may take it repeatedly until midnight on the date
so indicated on the Activity Schedule, i.e. 2/18 for #1.
You also need to save but not submit each time or it
will erase your answers. When you are finished and
before midnight on the due date for each one submit
it to me for grading for full credit as per the syllabus.
If passed the due date it becomes a retake/makeup
w/ a max. of 70% possible. Also don't worry when the
short answer/fill-ins have no points showing because
I have to manually score that portion and I will always
have the next post-assessment shortly available after
the first one is due.

Be sure to check the Activity Schedule for
important dates!
