This is a composite image of
the crescent Moon and Venus showing a crescent phase. It was taken
when the Moon and Venus made a rare conjunction after sunset (about 1
degree separation in the sky). Both objects were too far
apart to image together in the same field of view through the telescope,
so both objects were imaged separately and the two were combined using
Photoshop.
