Messier 16 - "The Eagle Nebula" - is a star forming
region located in the constellation of Serpens. This is my second
attempt at imaging M16. This is three stacked 5 minute exposures
that were taken by manually guiding the LX200 using a piggyback C5.
The image is grainy because it is ISO800 and it needs to be longer!
I will continue imaging on future occasions and increase the luminance.
- ISO 800
- F/10
- 5 minute exposures (x 3); 15 minutes total
- Unfiltered
- Direct images through the 8-inch LX200GPS
- Manually guided
- Location: Trillium Observatory (Home)
