M42 & NGC 1977


(click on the image for a larger version)		   This is a whole frame image of the Orion Nebula and the Running Man reflection nebula (NGC1977).  It is a stack of 11 separate 2 minute images.  Shorter exposure images were used to correct for the overexposed region surrounding the Trapezium stars when a long exposure image of the nebula is taken.  The images were combined and polished with Photoshop Elements.
