Each student may submit any astronomically related news articles for extra credit. To earn extra credit, submit a copy of the article with a one paragraph summary of the article written in your own words (no exceptions). Please type your summary if possible. A total of 15 articles may be submitted by each student, each semester. NOTE: No more than 4 articles per week may be submitted.
Good magazine/newspaper sources are:
- Astronomy Magazine
- Sky and Telescope Magazine
- Scientific American
- Popular Science
- The "Quest" section of the San Diego Union Tribune
- The "Sci-Tech" section of the North County Times or Daily Californian (for those of you living in Temecula)
Internet sources:
Many of these magazines have online versions where you can download the article. Other internet sources may be used for news articles HOWEVER you must include a copy of the article and the article must come from a REPUTABLE source of astronomical news.
