Hybrid Class format for LT 100, Fall 2008: Palomar College

Class Number 71724 (LT 100) is a hybrid class and meets on campus in the Library approximately every other Tuesday this fall. Roughly 60% of our class time will be in person at the San Marcos campus Library. Students will make use of email and the Internet, including BlackBoard, to complete the course requirements.

Approximately 40% of the course content and lecture for LT 100 will be conducted online using BlackBoard and its communication tools (primarily email, discussion board, and online chat). An orientation to BlackBoard will be held during the first class meeting, Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Please meet in the Library Classroom LL-206 (2nd floor, across from Reference Desk) at 6 pm on Tuesday, 8/26/2008.

During "Online Weeks" course communication will take place via BlackBoard. Additionally, students may use their campus email account or use/establish a private email account for use with this class. Additionally, students should have regular access to the Internet for completing course assignments and accessing course content via BlackBoard. For other questions about the class format, you may wish to consult Palomar's Online Education FAQ. Additional questions may be addressed to your Instructor, Jennifer Paris (office phone: 760-634-7814, or email: jparis@miracosta.edu).
