On Sunday March 24, I will present a program of pieces performed by me and by my friends. Collaborative relationships in music can be rich and rewarding experiences, and this concert celebrates some of those relationships. The program will open with my own performance of the Chopin Barcarolle, Op. 60. Patriceann Meade, a faculty member in Dance at the college, will join me in a performance of the lush piano piece "Minstrel Impressions" by Villa Lobos. Patriceann will dance the piece to her own choreography. I will close the first half with a performance of Madelyn Byrne's Northern Flight, a composition she wrote and I premiered in 2000. Dr. Byrne, also a Performing Arts faculty member (in computer music and music composition) has created a piece using electronic sounds as well as live solo piano.

The second half of the program will present my colleague and fellow pianist Cynthia Darby in a performance of Debussy Preludes. I will then present the world premiere of a Sonata by composer Norman Weston. Cynthia and I will conclude the program with a performance of the Schubert Fantasy in F minor or four hands at one piano. Please join me for what promises to be an interesting and varied program of collaborations.
