Under the file menu select “Save all” and click. Although the computer is set to automatically save your work periodically, it is still a good idea to hit “Save all” frequently. This way if the computer locks up you will lose less work.

To close your project, hold down the control key on the keyboard and simultaneously click the “Project Name” tab. The “Close Tab" drop down menu will appear. Click the “Close Tab" and your project is put away.

Since this is a shared computer, the next person using the computer will inherit your scratch disk settings. If they fail to set the scratch disks at the beginning of their project, their work will end up in your folder. It is a good idea to set the scratch disks back to their default setting. Close the Final Cut Pro program by selecting and clicking “Quit” located under the “File” menu.
