This hands-on class prepares you for a career in TV News or short film documentary production. Members of this course produce the Emmy nominated TV News program Primetime Palomar which is broadcast news writing, photojournalism, voice work, working in front of the camera, news producing, news directing, interviewing, TV news package production, short form storytelling, TV News ethics, and a lot more. qRTV 197: Advanced TV News

This hands-on class is the real thing. You will work as a member of the North County News Team. You will work as a reporter, anchor, producer, writer, and editor. You put together the news effecting over 600,000 residents of North County.

This is your opportunity to work on real news resulting in a job getting demo tape. This course offers you the real world experience you need to launch your career in TV News. NCN is cable cast to over 300,000 homes on three cable channels.

(RTV 240 & RTV 110 courses are pre req. to RTV 197, however, SDSU & CSUSM grad students are exempt from above pre reqs.)
