Exporting and importing video footage

Increase understanding and use of background music and sfx.

Assignment Description:

 

 

TELEVISION AND RADIO COMMERCIAL PROJECT

 

Project:

 

To create two (2) television and radio commercial for the Buick Invitational based on footage from the 2007 Buick Invitational tournament.  A script, VO, Tiger Woods VO and 12 hours of footage will be provided.

 

Commercial 1- Generic TV and Radio spot (:30 TV and :30 and :60 radio)

Commercial 2- SOS Program TV and Radio spot (:30 TV and :30 and :60 radio)

 

Format:

 

In the RTV 110 script writing class, each student will create the television and radio scripts: The Century Club of San Diego, the organization that puts on the Buick Invitational, Buick, and Tiger Woods will choose which script they would like to use.

 

That script will be given to the RTV 270 editing class to produce.  Each student will produce their own variation of the script.  They will create three commercials for television and radio.

 

Note: The same audio from the TV spots will be used for the radio spots plus additional VO for the :60

 

Each version needs to include the following script:

 

(1)   Generic: 

It’s the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines...January 21st through the 27th.  Tickets are available at most San Diego area golf courses, Golf Mart stores or by calling 1-800-888-BUICK.  You can also purchase on line at www.buick invitational.com and print your own tickets.

 

(2)   SOS:

Buy tournament tickets for only $15 at your local U.S. Bank branch. All ticket sales at U.S. bank branches will go to local high school organizations.  U.S. Bank is proud to sponsor the “Support Our Schools” Program of the Buick Invitational.

 

 

 

Available Materials

 

  • 12 hours of footage (beta sp) from the 2006 Buick Invitational
  • We have a Tiger Woods voiceover on file that was done in 1999 that can be used. 

“This is Tiger Woods inviting you to join me at Torrey Pines as I defend my Buick Invitational Championship.”

 

Palomar College students to Receive

 

  • Winning commercial will be aired on television and on radio in the local San Diego area

Buick/Century Club of San Diego to Receive

 

  • (1) :30 Generic Television spot
  • (1) : 30 and :60 Generic Radio Commercial
  •  (1) :30 SOS Television spot
  • (1) :30 and :60 SOS radio Commecial

 

That is a total of (2) :30 TV Spots and (2) :60 radio spots
