SAN MARCOS (Sept 22,2004) Prime Time Palomar, a weekly Palomar College
RTV Program student produced half-hour TV news program, will launch it's
third season on Saturday October 9, 2004. In cooperation with the Palomar
E.T.V. department, the show will be broadcast each Saturday at 5 pm on Cox
ch 16 and Time Warner ch 67. It is estimated the show will reach over 250,000
homes in North County. The emphasis of Prime Time Palomar is News...College
Students Can Use.
Each week Palomar RTV 240 students bring north county college students
news they can actually use. No death and destruction just solid factual
stories that the viewers actually benefit from.
The RTV 240 TV News students learn a variety of roles in the TV News
business. They are producers, anchors, reporters, writers, photojournalist,
directors, audio technicians, floor directors etc.
The students learn the Radio TV News Directors Code of Ethics which
prepares students to contribute to their societies and become critical
