Find the Class Interval that Contains the Median

Use the cumulative frequency column to find the class interval that contains the median.  This is the class interval that has a cumulative frequency greater than or equal to
 n / 2

Identify L

L = the lower real limit of the class interval that contains the median
 

Identify F_i

F_i  = the frequency in the class interval that contains the median
 

Identify CF_b

CF_b = the cumulative frequency in the class interval below the class interval that contains the median

Compute the Median
