Humanities 100

Introduction to Humanities   Three hours lecture (3)
This course examines significant movements and developments in literature and other arts in Western culture from classical times to the late Middle Ages.  Emphasis is on ideas and their realization in works of art.  CSU; UC.

Note:  The sections meeting from 11:00 to 12:20 in P-32 are team-taught by Rhoda Van Tassel (Art), Will Dalrymple (Philosophy and Literature), and Sue Zolliker (Literature).  The team-taught sections of Humanities 100 are offered during the Fall Semester only.  Although Humanities 100 and Humanities 101 form a two-course sequence, they may be taken in any order or singly.
