Humanities 101

Introduction to Humanities   Three hours lecture (3)
This course is a general survey of the fine arts in the Western world.  Arranged chronologically rather than thematically, the course material includes consideration of the major achievements of Western culture from the Renaissance until the present.  CSU; UC.

Note:  The sections of Humanities 101 that meet from 11:00 to 12:20 in P-32 are team-taught by Rhoda Van Tassel (Art), Will Dalrymple (Philosophy and Literature), Ruth Lopez-Yanez (Music), and Sue Zolliker (Literature).  The team-taught sections of Humanities 101 are offered during the Spring Semester only.  Although Humanities 100 and Humanities 101 form a two-course sequence, they may be taken in any order or singly.
